Organized since the early years of the Moldovan Youth Orchestra, Summer Music Camp is one of the orchestra’s foundational projects, dedicated to musical education, collaboration, and the professional development of young instrumentalists.
Throughout 15 editions, the project has offered young musicians the opportunity to work together, study demanding repertoire, and gain valuable orchestral experience under the guidance of conductors and classical music professionals.
The 2026 anniversary edition, titled Amadeus meets Felix, brought together more than 50 musicians from the Republic of Moldova and Romania, under the baton of American conductor Andrew Koehler, featuring violinist Vadim Buinovschi as soloist.
The concert also celebrated the 15th anniversary of the Moldovan Youth Orchestra, marking a symbolic return to the Organ Hall in Chișinău, where the orchestra performed its very first concert in July 2011.
Summer Music Camp remains a project built on continuity and the development of future generations, bringing together the experience of established musicians and the enthusiasm of emerging talents.
