Țară Mică – Cântec Mare is the project through which the Moldovan National Youth Orchestra brings back to reality the heritage of light and rock music from the Republic of Moldova and Romania, giving new life to songs that have marked generations through symphonic arrangements.
Reaching four editions in 2026 , the project explored different chapters of musical history, from the creation of Ștefan Petrache to the Romanian hits of the 60s–80s.
Among the representative moments is the 2025 edition, which brought Cristi Minculescu from IRIS and members of the band Semnal M to the stage, alongside soloists such as Cătălin Josan, Stela Botez, Oleg Spînu and Stas Goncear.
In 2026, the project continued with “InterpretELE Anilor ’60-’80”, a tribute to the female voices that defined entire eras of local music: Sofia Rotaru, Anastasia Lazariuc, Maria Codreanu, Nadejda Cepraga and many more.
Beyond the show, Țară Mică – Cântec Mare aims to keep the musical memory of generations alive and transmit it to a new audience, through the sensitivity and energy of a young orchestra.
