Launched in 2017, the La La Play Musical Expedition was born from a simple belief: great music should reach people wherever they live.
Since then, musicians of the Moldovan Youth Orchestra have transformed villages, public squares, courtyards, and unconventional spaces into unique concert venues. The project has reached dozens of communities across the Republic of Moldova and beyond, bringing classical music closer to new audiences while celebrating cultural diversity.
Reaching its 15th edition in 2026, the expedition dedicated its latest journey to Gagauzia, with recitals and concerts in six communities: Bugeac, Avdarma, Tomai, Ceadîr-Lunga, Chirsova, and Comrat. The repertoire combined classical compositions with local cultural influences.
La La Play is more than a series of concerts. It is a musical journey about people, communities, and the power of music to build connections beyond geographical, linguistic, and cultural boundaries.
